Weather conditions vary greatly due to the fact that Tetoan is on the Straight of Gibraltar and strong winds are common. Wind comming from the east brings milder weather whereas the west winds, heat.
Autumn and winter are the rainy seasons and temperatures aren't very low, but it will be very chilly if the winds are blowing. Surrounding mountains may even be snow capped... and there has been snow in Tetuan once.... they say!
Summer temperatures may rise up to 35ºC, but are usually a lot milder, which makes the area the favourite holiday area for Morroccans fleeing from the extreme temperatures from the south, nevertheless, moisture is quite high and you'll surelly be sweating!
